So I never knew that I would enjoy working in a flower bed as much as I do. Even though you can tell that I am a beginner, I am loving taking care of them. The orange flower is my favorite of everything I planted this year...I wish that I would have bought tons of them (not only two)! I just realized that the flower bed doesn't even look that good, especially with all the little rocks in it. Oh well. I am still loving it and a huge thanks to MOM for helping me to plant.
And the last pictures are of a little blanket that I made for Rebecca today.

Laura, I know Kristin, from MC. Your favorite flower is a coreopsis or tickseed. You can start it from seed. It may not bloom the first year but will the second. I'm growing 'Early Sunrise' in my garden. It's a variety of coreopsis. They also have pink and a new red variety introduced. This is probably more information than you wanted but you can put coreopsis in your favorite search engine and it should bring up lots of info.
I forgot to add, it's a perennial and will come back next year. It'll be bigger and bloom tons more, all summer long.
